Dorka Kata Juhász was born on December 18, 1999. She is a Hungarian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Minnesota Lynx in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Galatasaray in the Women's Basketball Super League. She played college basketball for Ohio State and UConn. In the 2023 WNBA draft, she was selected 16th overall by the Lynx.
College career
Juhász chose to play at Ohio State in March 2018. She was ranked as the 12th best international player in the 2018 class and the 5th best forward. She also thought about joining Missouri and Louisville. Juhász played for the Buckeyes for three seasons before joining the transfer portal. She explained that her desire to improve as a player and her goal to play professionally were the main reasons she decided to leave the Buckeyes. After one week in the portal, Juhász announced she would transfer to the UConn Huskies.
Professional career
Juhász was picked 16th overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2023 WNBA draft. She made her WNBA debut on May 19, 2023, during a game between the Lynx and the Chicago Sky. She scored 5 points and had 3 rebounds in 15 minutes. On July 20, 2023, during a Lynx game, she became the only rookie to score 15 or more points, get 10 or more rebounds, record 3 or more assists, and make 2 or more steals while shooting 70% or higher from the field in the regular season. She was named to the 2023 WNBA All-Rookie Team along with her teammate, Diamond Miller.
Juhász joined the Lynx late for her second season after finishing her season with Schio. She made her season debut with Minnesota on May 25. She played mostly from the bench, starting in only seven games, mostly in July when Napheesa Collier was absent. In her 34 games, she averaged 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16.1 minutes per game.
On May 11, 2025, the Lynx announced that Juhász would miss the 2025 season to rest after playing year-round for two years.
In June 2023, Juhász signed with Famila Basket Schio of the Lega Basket Femminile and EuroLeague for the 2023–2024 season. On February 18, 2024, Schio won the Italian Cup, defeating Umana Reyer Venezia 81–68 in the final. Juhász scored 4 points and had 9 rebounds.
Juhász returned to Schio for the 2024–2025 season.
On June 16, 2025, she signed with Galatasaray of the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League (TKBL).
Juhász was named the 2025–26 EuroLeague MVP and was selected to the All-EuroLeague Women First Team. At 26 years old, she is the youngest person to win the MVP award in the competition’s history.
National team career
Dorka Juhász made her first appearance with the Hungarian national team on November 9, 2023, when Hungary defeated Slovenia with a score of 70-51. In February 2024, she participated in the Sopron 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. During the tournament, she averaged 11.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Her performance rating per game was 15.7, which ranked third in the tournament. She was chosen as a member of the All-Star 5.
Personal life
Her mother is Hajnalka Balázs, a former basketball player who has played on the national team 125 times. She won a bronze medal at the European Championship in 1991 and earned the Hungarian Championship three times and the Hungarian Cup three times while playing for PVSK.
In 2024, Juhász was chosen for the Hungarian Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
